Shiki Tsushima (津島史記) is a KDP author specializing in complete modern translations of classical texts.
Tsushima’s published work includes complete translations of the Shinchō Kōki (the chronicle of Oda Nobunaga), the Bansenshūkai, and the Book of Five Rings, alongside other works on Sengoku history, ninjutsu, and classical sword strategy. Editions are published in Japanese and English according to the source and project.
What this site does
Books and articles serve different kinds of reading. A complete translation lets a reader follow a work’s full architecture. An article can slow down over a few lines: define a term, identify the place of a passage in the work, compare a popular image with what is actually written, and mark the boundary between evidence and interpretation.
For that reason, site translations and commentary are written afresh. They are not extracts, rearrangements, or paraphrases of the author’s KDP editions. Each article gives an identifiable source location and keeps the original quotation short.
Editorial commitments
Historical claims are anchored to a quoted source or to a passage that can be located by work, book, chapter, or section. Untraceable anecdotes are not presented as fact. When a familiar story is absent from the cited text, the article says so plainly.
