Privacy policy
How this site handles contact information, logs, cookies, analytics, advertising, affiliate links, and privacy choices.
Information you provide
If you contact the site, the operator may receive the name, email address, and message you choose to send. That information is used to answer the inquiry, maintain necessary correspondence, and prevent abuse. It is not sold.
Server logs and essential services
The hosting or security provider may process technical data such as IP address, browser type, requested page, date and time, referring page, and error information to deliver and protect the site. These essential processes do not depend on the optional cookie choice below. Retention and processing may also be governed by the provider’s policy.
Cookie and privacy choices
Optional analytics storage is denied by default. Google Analytics is not loaded unless you choose “Allow optional cookies.” Choosing “Necessary only” keeps analytics storage off. Advertising storage, ad user data, and ad personalization remain denied until a separate certified advertising-consent flow is enabled. Your analytics choice is saved in your browser’s local storage and can be changed at any time through the “Privacy choices” control in the footer. Blocking or deleting browser storage may reset the choice.
Google Analytics
After optional cookies are allowed, this site loads Google Analytics to measure visits and interactions. Google may process information about the pages viewed, browser and device, approximate location, referrer, and interaction events. If optional cookies are refused, the Google Analytics tag is not loaded. Read how Google uses information from sites and apps that use its services.
Google AdSense and advertising cookies
If Google AdSense is activated, third-party vendors, including Google, may place and read cookies in users’ browsers, or use web beacons, IP addresses, and other identifiers to collect information as a result of ad serving. Google and its partners may use this information to serve, limit, personalize, and measure ads where personalized advertising is permitted and the required consent has been obtained. Before AdSense ad tags are enabled for visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the site will use a Google-certified consent management platform integrated with the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework. The present analytics choice does not replace that certified advertising-consent flow. Users may manage personalized advertising through Google Ads Settings and can read how Google uses data from partner sites and apps. If additional advertising vendors are enabled, their identities and choices will be available through the consent interface or this policy. AdSense is not activated by this policy alone.
Amazon and affiliate links
Links to Amazon identify books discussed on the site. Some are affiliate links. As an Amazon Associate, Shiki Tsushima earns from qualifying purchases. A commission does not increase the reader’s purchase price. Amazon may process click, device, account, and purchase information under its own privacy and cookie policies. A link marked with rel="sponsored" is a commercial outbound link.
External sites
This policy does not control Amazon, digital archives, libraries, or other external services. Review the destination’s policy before providing personal information.
Retention and disclosure
Contact records are retained only as long as reasonably needed for the inquiry, recordkeeping, security, or legal obligations. Information may be disclosed when required by law, to protect the site and its users, or to service providers working under appropriate restrictions.
Your rights and contact
You may request access, correction, or deletion of personal information held through direct correspondence, subject to legal and security limits. Privacy questions and requests may be sent through the contact page.
